ANIE Chairperson Awarded Distinguished Alumni of Top West African University

Professor Goski Alabi, African Network for Internationalization of Education, (ANIE) Chairperson has been feted as a Distinguished Alumni by the University of Cape Coast. The award, which recognizes members of the University’s Alumni who have contributed greatly to the development of Ghana, was presented during the 60th Anniversary celebration and Thanksgiving Ceremony of the University of Cape Coast on Thursday 20th October.

In her acceptance speech, Prof. Alabi hailed the University of Cape Coast as the best University in Ghana & West Africa. She also gave thanks to God and everyone who supported her to achieve the award. 

“By the special grace of the Almighty God, I happen to be one of the awardees of this noble university. I thank the University for this recognition, I also thank all those who supported me towards this path…” Prof. Alabi wrote on her social media pages. 

Prof.Alabi is a celebrated author and has served as the founding Dean of the School of Graduate Studies at University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA). She currently serves as the Dean of the Centre for International Education & Collaboration at the University of Professional Studies Accra.

Some of her key contributions include the establishment of the Drolor Centre for Strategic Leadership and Otumfuo Centre for Traditional Leadership at UPSA. She also holds the title of President of LAWEH Open University College.

Prof. Alabi has been instrumental in providing strategic leadership to ANIE and is a strong voice on internationalization and quality higher education in Africa. The leadership and members of ANIE would like to congratulate Prof. Alabi for the achievement.
