We are thrilled to introduce the distinguished speakers lined up for the 14th Annual Conference of the African Network for Internationalisation of Education (ANIE), taking place from 9th to 11th October 2024 in Accra, Ghana. This year’s conference, themed ‘Repositioning the International Education Agenda for Africa’s Future,’ brings together leading experts, thought leaders, and practitioners from across the globe to discuss the critical role of international education in shaping Africa’s higher education sector.

Keynote Speaker
Prof Rosemond Boohene
Prof Rosemond Boohene is the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast and a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Small Enterprise Development. She has 27 years’ experience in higher education and holds a PhD from the University of New England, Armidale Australia and a PDip.Com amd MCom (Accounting) from the University of Otago, New Zealand. She has managed projects for the European Union (EU), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the United Nations Environmental programme (UNEP). She also led a team to establishment the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Small Enterprise Development and the Design Thinking and Innovation Hub at the University of Cape Coast. Prof. Boohene has presented at conferences and facilitated various workshops on entrepreneurship, small enterprise development, entrepreneurial universities, industry-academia engagement and resource mobilization in higher education.
