We are thrilled to introduce the distinguished speakers lined up for the 15th Annual Conference of the African Network for Internationalisation of Education (ANIE), taking place from 8th to 10th October 2025 in Kampala, Uganda.
This year’s conference, themed “Internationalisation in Challenging Times: Sustaining Impact, Driving Change towards New Futures for Africa,” brings together leading experts, thought leaders, and practitioners from across the globe to explore how higher education in Africa can navigate global shifts, build resilience, and sustain meaningful impact.

Keynote Speaker
Prof Chika Sehoole
Prof Chika Trevor Sehoole is the Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Pretoria. He holds a PhD in higher education from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg which he obtained in 2002. In 2003/04 he was the recipient of a Rockefeller funded post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and in 2005/06 a Fulbright New Century Scholar fellowship. He has been a rated National Research Foundation Researcher since 2007. He has developed a special passion for higher education in Africa. This interest is pursued through his work in the African Network for International Education (ANIE) which he served as chairperson of its from 2012-2016.
