The African Network for Internationalisation of Education (ANIE) is proud to congratulate Professor Goski Alabi, our esteemed Board Chairperson, on her appointment by President John Dramani Mahama as the Chairperson of the University Council of the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) in Tarkwa, Ghana.
Professor Alabi is a renowned academic, practitioner, consultant, and entrepreneur with extensive experience spanning academia, quality assurance, leadership, and educational policy development. Her appointment to this strategic governance role reflects her longstanding dedication to enhancing higher education institutions in Africa and beyond.
A Professor of Quality Management and Leadership, she has significantly influenced national education policies and serves on the Organising Committee of the Ghana Education Forum—an initiative spearheaded by President Mahama to drive educational reform.
Prof. Alabi holds a BSc in Chemistry and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast, an MPhil in Food Science from the University of Ghana, a Doctor of Business Administration from the Swiss Management Centre, and a PhD in Business Administration from Central University of Nicaragua.
This new role is a recognition of her continued commitment to academic excellence, good governance, and transformational leadership in higher education—a vision she also champions through her work with ANIE.
