The International Education Association of South Africa (IEASA) has announced its 27th Annual Conference, to be held in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, from August 26th to 29th, 2025. The conference theme, “Bridging Borders, Inspiring Solutions: Internationalisation for a Resilient and Inclusive Future,” aligns with South Africa’s role in the G20 and its commitment to inclusive economic growth, innovation, and sustainability in higher education.
Conference Highlights
The conference will feature sub-themes exploring global challenges in higher education, equitable partnerships, local impact through global collaborations, climate change, digital transformation, social justice, educational innovation, and the implementation of internationalization strategies. IEASA invites contributions from academics, researchers, professionals, practitioners, educators, students, innovators, and leaders in international higher education.
Call for Contributions
Contributions are welcome in various formats, including parallel sessions, poster sessions, and workshops. The call is open to informed opinions, research findings, best practices, lived experiences, and innovative plans and strategies. While contributions rooted in the South African context are valued, IEASA also encourages submissions from the SADC region, the African continent, the global South, G20 countries, and beyond.
